We Are the Flood
A practical guide to the General Strike we desperately need
They're telling our troops to fight for Armageddon. Bragging about "forever war." Picking fights with China while Iran blocks 20% of the world's oil. And through it all, our grocery bills keep climbing, rent keeps rising, and we keep being told to wait.
Wait for the next election. Wait for the next hearing. Wait for someone else to save us.
Well I'm not waiting anymore.
Here's the Truth
We can keep sharing articles about what they're doing. We can keep getting outraged at every new horror. And they'll keep piling it on—because outrage alone doesn't stop them.
The only realistic nonviolent option we have left is to refuse to participate.
Not someday. Not when it's safe. NOW.
What Is a General Strike?
It's not just workers walking out. It's everyone stopping. Employees, parents, students, neighbors, communities. The collective refusal to keep feeding a machine that's already decided we're disposable.
It's not a protest. Protests ask for change.
A general strike is the change.
When enough of us stop—stop working, stop spending, stop complying—the machine halts. Not because they're convinced. Because they have no choice.
So Why Aren't We Talking About It?
Why is "general strike" not the topic of every conversation?
Yes, we need to know what they're doing. But we should be spending more energy on how to stop it than on cataloging every fresh horror.
Every day there's something new. Another file. Another prophecy. Another price hike. Another reason to be furious.
And weight? Weight breaks things eventually.
The question is whether we'll be the ones applying it—or just watching it pile up.
The Fear Question
"Why don't people strike? They're scared of losing everything."
I get it. I'm scared too.
But here's what I need you to understand:
You are going to lose it anyway.
Maybe not today. But this system isn't designed for you to keep it. It's designed to extract everything until there's nothing left.
So the choice isn't "lose it or keep it."
The choice is: Lose it Wednesday on your knees, or lose it Friday on your feet.
What We Can Do Today
Here’s where we can start:
✅ Talk about it. Say "general strike" in every conversation. Make it normal.
✅ Find your people. Connect with others asking the same question.
✅ Build something. Mutual aid. Food. Childcare. Trust. Show people we'll take care of each other.
✅ Identify leverage. What stops in your community would actually matter?
✅ Keep saying it: We are the flood.
A Note to Parents
I'm a parent too. I know the fear of sticking your neck out.
But I'm not protecting my kid by shrinking. I'm protecting them by refusing to normalize evil. By showing them what standing up looks like.
When they're older, they'll know I didn't bow.
That's the inheritance that matters.
The Only Question Left
Are you waiting for permission?
Or are you ready to be part of the flood?
The flood is coming either way.
The only question is whether you'll be standing on the shore—or rising with it.

I realized this and have been commenting on posts with simply:

We need the majority to participate for it to be effective so I’ve been hoping others catch up with me quickly. Time is fleeting
*nods* The time has come.
